War of the Dead

Z.E.R.O. : War of the Dead Cast & Crew

CAPTAIN JUSTIN MORSE (DON MONEY)
Weapon of choice: brushed-chrome .44 Magnum Desert Eagle pistol (2)

Single ImageJustin is the leader of his highly trained but emotionally stunted squad. He is their grounding influence, the thing that keeps them focused on their mission. Justin is very good at his job and very protective of his team on and off-duty, which leaves him little time for his strained marriage. He doesn’t approve and is suspicious of the need for his team to undergo the strenuous psychological sessions overseen by Dr. Orchid.

About Don: Hailing from Mansfield Ohio, Don cut short his pursuit of a business degree when he was discovered by the Ohio-based talent agency that helped launch the careers of fellow Buckeyes Katie Holmes, Alyson Stoner and Adrianne Palicki. Moving to New York, he completed a 2-year professional conservatory program at the School of Film and Television (SFT). Besides WTOD:ZERO, Don can be seen in other genre productions ranging from Ted A. Bohus’ HELL ON EARTH, Alan Rowe Kelly’s HUNG BY A THREAD and the upcoming Warner Bros.’ release I AM LEGEND with Will Smith.

COLIN GELLOW (ANDREW ROTH)
Weapon of choice: Remington 870 12 gauge pump action shotgun

Single ImageGellow is the squad’s weapons expert and an unpredictable Scotsman who emigrated to the US in his early 20s under shady circumstances not unconnected to his special skills in ballistics and explosives. He brings a wacky sense of humor to the missions, which helps dilute the sheer horror of their purpose, but off-duty his actions only get him into trouble, particularly with colleague Tara.

About Andrew: A native New Yorker, Andrew is no stranger to dialects from other countries, having played a Scottish hit man in DOWN CLOWN and New Zealand surfer Ryan Hastings in 3 TO 5 & GLASSY. Andrew says that working on WOTD:ZERO has proved to be one of Andrew’s favorite productions, not only because Gellow is one of his wildest roles but because of the professionalism of the cast and crew. Andrew just finished shooting to THE RISE AND FALL OF THEIR AMERICAN DREAM in New Mexico, and his next project is LOST MONEY, the true story of drug lord Kevin Maze.

HENRY THOMAS JONES (SEAN DAVID)
Weapon of choice: SP-1 Marine Combat knife (2)

Single ImageJones is the team’s Tactics Expert, a skilled martial artist who, though armed with all kinds of firepower, prefers his twin combat knives when dispatching the living dead. Haunted by the slaughter of his family by zombies during the Second Age, Jones channels his hatred for the undead expertly during missions. However, off-duty he drowns his memories in alcohol, a growing habit that threatens to affect his ability to perform his duties.

About Sean: Sean always won leads in school plays in his youth, but as he got older he took a different path. However, with a biology degree and some medical school under his belt, he won a lead role in a play and the acting bug bit him again. Moving to NYC from Atlanta, he was accepted to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Within a short time, he was welcomed into the Screen Actors Guild, and can be seen featured in such upcoming feature films as AMERICAN GANGSTER with Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington, THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM with Matt Damon, and RESERVATION ROAD with Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly.

TARA SERTELLA (DINA CATALDI)
Weapon of choice: Smith & Wesson "Paul Bunyan Bullseye" Hatchet

Single ImageThough all Z•E•R•O squad members are experts in the use of lethal force, Tara has an additional responsibility as Communications Officer, staying in communication with district HQ and calling in support or rescue units as needed. With nine brothers, Tara grew up knowing how to defend herself, skills she brings to bear every day with her teammates. She is especially hard on Gellow, who takes it upon himself to test her patience.

About Dina: At 14, Dina was bitten by the acting bug and started a theater company at the local Boys’ and Girls’ Club in her native Rhode Island. Since 2000 Dina has lived and traveled to Hawaii, London, and finally New York to study theater. She has been in New York since 2004 and recently received her MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College. Dina recently played Imogen in "Cymbeline" at the Brooklyn Repertory Shakespeare Company and co-starred in Red Scream Films’ FRIGHTWORLD as "Acid Poptart" along with fellow Z•E•R•O colleague Andrew Roth.

DR ORCHID (LYNN MASTIO RICE)
Weapon of choice: A degree in Psychology

Single ImageDr. Orchid is the mandated psychologist for the three squads that make up the divisional Security Task Force unit. Her job is to examine and analyze the field agents and evaluate their fitness for continued duty. An expert in her field, Orchid effectively draws valuable information from her subjects while expertly masking her own feelings. This is a great challenge for her, as she wrestles with conflicted emotions about the nature of her job.

About Lynn: Lynn’s background is primarily theatrical, having received a B.A. in Theatre and a Minor in Vocal Performance from Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA. then an M.F.A. in Acting from the Goodman School of Drama/DePaul University, Chicago, IL. Her most recent theatrical performances include "Steel Magnolias", "Footloose", and "The Music Man" (First National Tour). Her most recent feature films include RIVERSIDE, with Columbian soap star Diego Trujillo, PROOF OF LIFE with Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe and most recently Stevan Mena’s BRUTAL MASSACRE: A COMEDY with genre faves Ken (DAWN OF THE DEAD) Foree and Gunnar (TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE) Hansen.
